WASHINGTON, D.C., May 13, 2013 — JPA Health Communications (JPA) recently attended the International Public Relations Network’s (IPRN) annual conference in Istanbul, Turkey. The event brought together PR professionals from more than 35 countries around the world to gain a better understanding of how business works within different cultures, as well as strengthen business connections.
During the meeting, JPA presented on multiple topics, including its knowledge of global advocacy and unique influencer relations model, while gleaning insights from the other attending agencies.
“It was invigorating to meet communications experts from around the world and learn more about their practices,” said Valerie Carter, a senior vice president and JPA’s representative at the meeting. “We want to ensure that we are connected with the best and brightest minds in our profession. By teaming up with these international professionals, we are able to share our insights and understanding with our clients across the globe, who are increasingly looking for support from communication experts with international knowledge.”
IPRN is an international network of independently-owned communications firms. The network represents agencies that think globally and provide regional services. Through IPRN’s global network, JPA has access to more than 65 skilled public relations agencies, spanning six continents throughout the world.
Among the topics discussed at this year’s meeting were social media, PR measurement, new business in an ever-changing world and future challenges facing PR agencies, particularly the opportunities for increasing client services as the creators of content for digital media.
