Washington, D.C., October 13, 2014 – JPA Health Communications, an international public relations agency, announced today that its principal, Carrie Jones, has been appointed to serve on the 2015 board of directors for the Council of PR Firms.

Council board members serve a three-year term, during which time they may be called upon to lead panel discussions for up-and-coming practitioners, participate in conferences and lend their insight to problem-solving. Jones’ tenure on the board commences on December 1, 2014.

“We hope to build upon the wonderful work that America’s PR agencies are doing by delving into critical issues such as staff retention, diversity and professional development,” said Carrie Jones. “I look forward to working closely with my colleagues in shaping and impacting the future of our profession.”

The Council of Public Relations Firms, formed in 2008, is a trade association of more than 100 of America’s leading public relations firms. Its membership represents the premier global, mid-size, regional and specialty firms across every discipline and practice area. The Council’s mission is to advocate for and advance the business of public relations firms by building the market and the value of firms as strategic business partners.
